FEATURING:
Patrick as STEVE VAI – self-absorbed guitar player, and although he’s great at guitar, he never 
plays it. He always carries his guitar with him. And he doesn’t speak – 
he sings. All. The. Time. Discovered and lowkey entire career backed up by Macaulay Culkin. 


NOTE: 
Feel free to burst into singing even in lines where words are not draaaaaaaagged. 


Avi as WOLFGANG HUBER – an Austrian mystery, a man of endless names and lives, a record 
store owner, sound recorder, has worked in an anteater farm, makes slogans for cigarette 
packs. He has a huge, hot, thick mustache and a strong Austrian accent. 
His sister leaves Austria because of Brenda Song. 
He is mad. Redemption. 


Sofia as INGRID HUBER – true, raw, unrefined, natural talent that can only be 
put into material dimensions through the Bejeweled Hammer. 
Discovered by Brenda Song.

Chloe as BRENDA SONG – she hates singing. 
Married to Macaulay Culkin. 
Believes her destiny is to become a talent agent, 
but her husband doesn’t believe in her. She must prove him wrong. Redemption. 

Anushka as MACAULAY CULKIN – a former child actor who thinks that he’s good at 
identifying talented individuals (think is an essential verb choice here). 
Married to Brenda Song. Mentors Steve Vai. He goes to rehab sometimes, 
and is a pretty nice guy. 

AFC (ATHENS FRIED CHICKEN)
LIGHTS DIM. BRENDA SONG has back against the audience, stares at a painting of the Bejeweled 
Hammer (just the Bejeweled Hammer taped on the wall). She reaches to touch it, 
moved by the memories the hammer brings to her – STEVE VAI interrupts her.

STEVE VAI
Hey Brendaaaaaa aren’t you gonna get an original Athens Fried Chickeeeeeeen? It’s gooooooood. 
And they have tzatziiiikiiiiii. 

The dragging parts of words are him just belting out. Because he is singing. Always. 

BRENDA SONG
No, Steve Vai. Who I want is…

A magical orchestra starts playing. Across AFC, WOLFGANG HUBER is pretending to play the
piano. But it sounds like a full orchestra. BRENDA cannot believe her eyes.

BRENDA SONG
Wolfgang –She whispers. 

STEVE VAI is eating tzatziki chicken fingers loudly. WOLFGANG HUBER
stands up from the piano and walks to her. Halfway through, darkness falls. LIGHTS only on
BRENDA.

STEVE VAI
I wonder who owns this place.

BRENDA SONG
Stop interrupting me, Steve. 
(to audience) Wolfy and I fell in love in the summer. Summer sounds playing in the background.

BRENDA SONG
(to audience) That was six months ago, because now it’s winter, December, as you can see.

Someone throws snow (if not possible, snow storm sound must play regardless).

BRENDA SONG
We met at a techno house in Hallstatt (please make sure to pronounce this as badly as you can), 
which looks exactly like Athens Fried Chicken, but it’s not, because Athens and Hallstratt 
cannot be the same place.
